Overview

The Burkinabè Coalition of Human Rights Defenders brings together civil society organizations committed to protecting human rights in Burkina Faso. Affiliated with the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH/WAHRDN), it supports human rights defenders in a context marked by significant internal displacement, with a particular focus on isolated rural areas. Its priorities include protection and early warning, advocacy with authorities and regional bodies, and capacity-building for actors on the ground. Based in Ouagadougou, it relies on a network of local organizations operating throughout the country.
