The West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH) is dedicated to documenting and analyzing the situation of human rights defenders (HRDs) in West Africa. Aware of the many challenges these individuals face—threats, violence, arbitrary restrictions, or smear campaigns—the Network conducts rigorous research to shed light on their realities.
ROADDH collects testimonies, examines specific situations, and highlights the experiences of human rights defenders in various countries across the region through case studies.
The Network identifies trends, highlights common risks, and proposes advocacy strategies tailored to national and regional contexts through regional analyses and data integration.
Each quarter, ROADDH publishes a newsletter that compiles its research findings, case studies, and recommendations. This newsletter serves as a reference tool for human rights defenders themselves, partner organizations, institutions, and engaged citizens.
