Overview

The Ivorian Coalition of Human Rights Defenders brings together civil society organizations committed to protecting human rights in Côte d'Ivoire. Affiliated with the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH/WAHRDN), it focuses particularly on densely populated urban areas, notably Abidjan, as well as on the migration dynamics specific to a country that serves as a crossroads in the subregion. Its priorities include protection and early warning, advocacy with authorities and regional bodies, and capacity-building for actors on the ground. Based in Abidjan, it relies on a network of local organizations operating throughout the country.
