Overview

The Guinean Coalition of Human Rights Defenders brings together civil society organizations committed to protecting human rights in Guinea. Affiliated with the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH/WAHRDN), it focuses particularly on the country’s rural and mining areas—which are often isolated—where access to protection mechanisms remains more difficult. Its priorities include protection and early warning, advocacy with authorities and regional bodies, and capacity-building for actors on the ground. Based in Conakry, it relies on a network of local organizations active throughout the country.
