Overview

The Senegalese Coalition of Human Rights Defenders brings together civil society organizations committed to protecting human rights in Senegal. As part of the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH/WAHRDN), it works to expand its reach beyond Dakar into the rural regions of the country’s interior, ensuring a balanced presence throughout the territory. Its priorities include protection and early warning, advocacy with authorities and regional bodies, and capacity-building for actors on the ground. Based in Dakar, it relies on a network of local organizations present throughout the country.
