Overview

The Sierra Leonean Coalition of Human Rights Defenders brings together civil society organizations committed to protecting human rights in Sierra Leone. Affiliated with the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH/WAHRDN), its work is focused on institutional strengthening and supporting local civil society. Its priorities include protection and early warning, advocacy with authorities and regional bodies, and capacity-building for actors on the ground. Based in Freetown, it relies on a network of local organizations operating throughout the country.
