In a national context marked by a resurgence of attacks on fundamental freedoms and a worrying normalization of arbitrary practices, the Coordination of Human Rights Defenders (CODDH) considers it essential to bring to the attention of national and international public opinion the serious events that have recently occurred in Guinea. True to its mission of monitoring and denouncing human rights violations, CODDH intends to draw attention to a new escalation of repression targeting not only dissident voices, but also their families and loved ones, who are exposed to unacceptable violence. It has done so through the following statement No. 001, issued in March 2026, in which it denounces arbitrary abductions.
DECLARATION No. 001/CODDH/2026
